I’ll be honest, while the plugged in version of Monarch is really good…the unplugged version is flat out excellent. I’m a sucker for the upright bass anyway and Andy puts on a great performance! He also takes over the vocals and guitar for A Lawn to Mow, a very nice tune…I haven’t heard it as arranged for the electric Monarch, so it’ll be interesting. As it will be interesting to hear the electric version of the last tune, Half A Double Man, which is now my fave Monarch song. The recording doesn’t do it justice, the bass is a bit loud in this version, but it is such a beautiful song.
