One of the better sets of the evening, I thought…while Treevahs now calls Pittsburgh home, it’s a treat when he comes back to Baltimore to play solo or with Good Guise (folkish jamband-like). I had the pleasure of seeing Treevahs play solo once before, earlier this year, but I had a problem recording that night and, as a result, didn’t capture his performance that evening. Thankfully there was no repeat of problems on this night…it’s a very short set, but it’s well played with beautiful lyrics. Before Church Bells, Treevahs tells the audience that he just learned of the death of a good highschool friend…you can sense it’s a difficult reality for him to grasp, but he easily slips into the music where he seems most comfortable. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing Treevahs again!
